About three dozen families on the Lummi Reservation in Washington won't lose their water service for now.

The families are caught in a dispute between the Lummi Nation and the local water provider. Sandy Point Improvement Co. claims the tribe violated an agreement not to install new water hookups.

The tribe and the company are working on a resolution.
