Absentee Shawnee Tribe seeks approval for bank

TUESDAY, JULY 1, 2003 The Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma is seeking federal regulatory approval to acquire a bank. The tribe's holding company, AllNations Bancorporation Inc., wants to acquire The First National Bank of Calumet. Treasurer Russell Ellis said the tribe wants to offer services to tribal members. In Oklahoma, the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, the Eastern Shawnee Tribe and the Chickasaw Nation own banks. Get the Story:
