A federal judge on Tuesday upheld a land-into-trust decision for the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw of Oregon.

The Department of Interior took 38 acres of land into trust for gaming purposes. The tribe satisfied an exemption to the post-1988 ban on newly acquired trust lands because its federal status was restored by Congress.
