The Navajo Nation's three airplanes are grounded while the tribal council looks for funding to make overdue repairs.

According to The Gallup Independent, the tribal fleet requires 10,000 hours of overhauls. But the $1.4 million needed the repairs has been tied up in red tape.

The council is considering a resolution to fund the work.
