The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services announced the members of the panel that will advise the state on how to spend $3.2 million in annual tobacco-prevention funds.

The panel has Indian representation. D.J. Lott, executive director of the Indian Family Health Clinic, and John Pipe from the Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council are among the 14 members.

Lott says Indian clinics have worked together to stretch tobacco-prevention funds, which have been cut and reprogrammed by the State Legislature.
