The Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Connecticut will be kicking off a week of Native theater this Sunday.

The series is a joint project of the museum and a Rhode Island theatre company. Called "Theater from the Four Directions: New Plays from First Nations Playwrights," it will feature new plays by three Native playwrights and a talk on Native theater.

The event starts at the Pequot museum on Sunday with a reading of works. The plays will then be performed at the Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, Rhode Island, from December 6-9.
