Grammy ceremony airs tonight

The Grammy awards ceremony will air tonight at on your local CBS affiliate.

Last night, a special Native music showcase was held featuring nominees in the Best Native American Music Album category. There are five nominees: The Black Eagle Singers, The Black Lodge Singers, Northern Cree, Verdell Primeaux & Johnny Mike, Young Bird and Gathering of Nations 2000.

The Albuquerque Journal followed around the Black Eagle Singers, a drum group based in Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico. Their biggest adventure has involved eating at Sizzler.

The Native music category will be presented on-air. Check local listings for time.
