The Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has been officially accredited as a four-year college by the North Central Association of Colleges and the National Association of Schools of Arts and Design.

As a result, IAIA will be awarding its first bachelor's degrees this spring. The school offers four-year degrees in creative writing and museum studies and will still maintain two-year programs.
