Mascot decision expected by Thanksgiving

OCTOBER 18, 2000 The "Chiefs" mascot of the Southern Cayuga school district in New York may be dropped by Thanksgiving. Chandell, a Southern Cayuga High School senior and a member of the Seneca Nation, has been urging the district to drop the logo. She has faced opposition from an alumnus of the school. Get the Story:
