OCTOBER 31, 2000 Construction at a country club in California has revealed a Cahuilla village, including human remains. An elder and cultural specialist of the Torres-Martinez Band of Desert Cahuilla was called to the site on Monday to oversee the handling of remains at the Indian Wells Country Club. Researchers say the village and area was a major Cahuilla site. Get the Story:
