Pueblo makes education gains

After being placed on a list of low-performing schools by the stat, Santo Domingo School, located at Santo Domingo Pueblo in New Mexico, has been making improvements in the past two years.

The school instituted an intensive reading program that has increased standardized test performance and it was named as one of the most-improved schools last year. Parents and tribal leaders are also taking a more active role in school affairs.
