New skull questions human origins

MARCH 22, 2001 The discovery of a new skull in northern Kenya raises questions about the ancestors of modern humans, say researchers. Published in today's issue of Nature, researchers from the National Museums of Kenya say the skull is of a different species than "Lucy," often considered to be the sole ancestor of humans. They say the 3.5 million-year-old skull could be yet another ancestor. Get the Story:
