MAY 31, 2001 Two American Indians in Minneapolis on Wednesday were among eight recipients of a year-long grant in developing community leadership. Keith Lowmaster, mployment development counselor for the American Indian Opportunities Industrialization Center, will use his grant to participate in American Indian leadership training programs. Gabrielle Strong, executive director of Ain Dah Yung (Our Home) Center, will use her grant to become fluent in the Dakota language and incorporate it into culturally specific programs at the education and job placement center.
