School adds indigenous law program

JUNE 21, 2001

University of Arizona faculty members will testify before the Senate Indian Affairs Committee today about an indigenous law program the school is adding.

The program will include courses in water rights, land title, and cultural sensitivity. Its faculty includes James Anaya and Robert A. Williams and author Vine Deloria has agreed to be the program's first Distinguished Visiting Professor.
