Tribal college offering new degrees

Nebraska Indian Community College has begun a new partnership with Si Tanka/Huron University in South Dakota so that students can receive bachelor's degrees.

NICC has campuses in Macy, Santee, Omaha, and South Sioux City. Students there will be able to obtain four-year degrees in nursing, business management, management information systems, teacher education and criminal justice through Si Tanka / Huron.

Si Tanka is the tribal college on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. The tribe recently bought Huron University.
