School board won't study Indian mascot

MONDAY, JULY 9, 2001 The Northwest District School Board in California last week rejected a proposal to study the Indian mascot used by John Burroughs High School in Burbank. The idea was raised by board member Trish Burnett but three others at a meeting last Thursday voted it down. Get the Story:
