AUGUST 30, 2000 The SAT scores of Native Americans and Alaskan Natives reported by the College Board vary widely from state to state, with some falling below the national average and others falling above. Here are the scores of students in states with a significant Native American population.

The national verbal average was 505. The national math average was 514. Scores for North Dakota and South Dakota were not available as of Tuesday from the College Board.
