N.D. schools to create Native projects

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2001 Lake Region State College and Devils Lake Public Schools have received $35,000 in grants to create two projects involving Native Americans. The National Endowment to the Humanities awarded a $25,000 grant to create "Native Voices: A Study of Native American Life and Literature." A group of 15 middle school, high school and college teachers will discuss Native literature under the project. A $10,000 grant will feature a project about Native Americans, Germans from Russia and Norwegians. Get the Story:
