MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2001 Carolyn Elgin will be retiring as head of the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after 10 years of service. The Bureau of Indian Affairs will be finding a replacement. But officials said they will work closely with SIPI's board of regents to choose Elgin's successor. Get the Story:
