The museum of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is hosting a talk this Saturday on King Philip's War.

William Simmons will talk about the spiritual aspects of the 17th century conflict between tribes and colonists. The war resulted in great losses for the Pequot, Mohegan and other tribes.

As a result of the war, the tribes were placed on reservations. The lands eventually passed to the control of the state of Connecticut.
