State continuing search for graves

The state of Kansas is still unable to substantiate claims that hundreds of Native children are buried in wetlands near Haskell Indian Nations University.

The state Department of Transportation has hired researchers to search for remains but they say they haven't turned up anything. Results of an ongoing effort are expected in a couple of weeks.

Haskell students and activists oppose the building of a highway through the wetlands, citing the burials.
