Babbitt tours Tent Rocks today

DECEMBER 15, 2000 Secretary of Interior Bruce Babbitt will tour the Tent Rocks State Park today near Cochiti Pueblo. Babbitt is being urged by the Pueblo and Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-N.Mex) to recommend the site as a national monument. He would make such a recommendation to President Bill Clinton. Other officials in New Mexico also support the designation. Get the Story:
