New housing comes to Havasupai
DECEMBER 20, 2000

Getting homes constructed or repaired on the Havasupai reservation in Arizona can be almost impossible, but three families are receiving new ones, thanks to a collaborative effort between the tribe, the Marines, various government agencies, and a local church.

The tribe lives at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, making it difficult to obtain the necessary housing supplies. The Marines helicoptered in materials recently.
