FEBRUARY 16, 2001 The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut on Thursday presented their plan to build an electric power substation on land hear their reservation. The tribe wants to build the substation to supply about 40 megawatts of power to its $1 billion casino expansion. It would be located on a 2-acre portion of a 88-acre plot they own. The tribe has asked the Department of Interior to take the 2 acres into trust and may ask for the rest of it to be taken into trust as well. Get the Story:
