Officials investigating raven shooting

Federal and Alaska state officials are investigating the Monday shootings of three ravens in Anchorage.

Like eagles, ravens are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Shooting ravents is punishable by a $10,000 fine and up to six months in jail.

Of the three shot, two died. The surviving is at a local treatment center.
