MARCH 8, 2001 A poll published by Dittman Research in Alaska says 75 percent of state residents support drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Only 19 percent were opposed to the idea. But other pollsters say there is gray area in how the question is posed and that more people want the refuge to be protected. Get the Poll:
