A severe windstorm hit the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota on Saturday, leaving several families homeless and damaging a number of buildings.

At least several houses will need to be repaired, said a tribal official. The homes are located in Wanblee, on the eastern edge of the reservation.

Also damaged was the roof of Crazy Horse High School.
