WEDNESDAY, JULY 18, 2001 Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) on Tuesday wrote President Bush, urging him to hold town hall meetings on his energy policy out West. The closest the White House has come is South Dakota. Secretary of Interior Gale Norton made an energy pitch in Sioux Falls on Monday. The White House says no future meetings are in the works.
