AUGUST 10, 2000 A new geothermal heat pump will help drive down heating costs for the elder care center of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington. The underground pump will cost about $77,000 and will cut heating expenses by a third and cut hot water bills in half. A $50,000 grant from the Snohomish County Public Utility District and a $25,000 grant from the Bonneville Power Administration have helped pay for the pump. Get the Story:
