AUGUST 28, 2000 The Jasper Fire in the Black Hills of South Dakota has affected over 90,000 acres and continues to burn out of control. The fire began on Thursday for causes unknown, although arson has been suspected. Over 800 firefighters are battling the blaze. Get the Story:
