Tewa Women United, a group formed by Pueblo women in northern New Mexico, held an anti-nuclear gathering at Pojoaque Pueblo over the weekend.

Last year's devastating Cerro Grande fire in nearby Los Alamos spurred the event, said Kathy Sanchez of San Ildefonso Pueblo. The gathering, which is five years old, featured live music, arts and crafts and information about health and wellness.

Tewa Women United was started in 1989 by a Pueblo woman but is open to women of all backgrounds.
