Ojibwe tribe restoring fish hatchery

The Bad River Ojibwe Band of Wisconsin is in the midst of a three-year grant to restore a fish hatchery.

Using $246,000 in federal grant money, the tribe has finished installing solar panels and a wind turbines at the Bad River Fish Hatchery in Odanah. Next year, the tribe will design two new walleye rearing ponds, for which an additioal $276,000 will be made available in 2003 for their construction.
