The world's largest kitty litter company on Wednesday said it would take its fight to open a mine in Nevada to the courts.

Planners in Washoe County rejected a permit for the mine. Among the reasons cited was harm to the Hungry Valley Indian Colony

The operation would be located land adjacent to the colony but also on Bureau of Land Management land. Oil-Dri Corp. believes the county doesn't have authority to regulate its operation.
