A protest was held in Washington, D.C, against a Clinton administration approved plan that allows Montana state officials to shoot bison that wander out of Yellowstone National Park.

Marchers stood outside the Department of Agriculture, one of the agencies which signed the plan. The Department of Interior also agreed to let Montana shoot bison to prevent the spread of brucellosis to cattle.

The protest was organized by Buffalo Field Campaign. A member of the group was arrested yesterday for trying to stop a roundup of 15 bison.
