Arctic Natives note climate change

When it comes to science, Native people and Westerners often see things from different perspectives. But when it comes to global warming, both sides note the changes that have come about in recent years.

Natives in Canada and Alaska have encountered melting ice sheets, changes in weather patterns and differences in the animals they depend on for food. Scientists in many cases are playing catch up to Native knowledge about global warming.
