WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24, 2002 A fire broke out Tuesday on the Mescalero Apache Reservation in southern New Mexico. The fire forced the evacuation of some residents because it came hear housing. Crews are reported to have the blaze under control, which is said to range from 5 to 15 acres. The reservation has been the site of a rash of fires. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is leading an investigation into their causes. Get the Story:
