Janklow advises S.D. residents to get flu shots

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2001 To prevent confusion over symptoms related to the onset of anthrax, South Dakota Gov. Bill Janklow on Tuesday said he wants all residents to receive a flu shot. The state already has 28,000 doses of the flu vaccine for employees and their families. No word on how all other residents should get the shot, beyond their own medical providers. According to doctors, the flu and early signs of anthrax share simliar symptoms, including fever, muscle aches and a headache. Anthrax also causes coughing. Get the Story:
