OCTOBER 4, 2000

A hearing was held on Tuesday in Anchorage for Joshua Wade, the man accused of killing Della Brown, an Alaska Native woman.

The 20-year-old Wade is charged with first-degree murder. He is accused of sexually assaulting and killing Brown.

Police also say he assaulted her after she died and showed friends her body. Conversations between Wade and his friends have led police to investigate his potential involvement in the deaths of women for the past two years.

Brown's father, Henry Brown, attended the hearing.
