Lummi Nation focuses on natural resources
Facebook Twitter Email
The Lummi Nation hopes that the National Indian Center for Marine and Environmental Research and Education will get their youth on the right track to obtaining the degrees and skills necessary to manage the tribe's natural resources. The new center is a joint effort between the Northwest Indian College and the Northwest Fisheries Science Center of the National Marine Fisheries Service. Scientists at the Fisheries Service will provide classes and training for the center, which will broadcast the lectures to other tribal colleges via satellite.
