The House on Wednesday approved a budget bill that includes a provision on providing abortion aid to international groups overseas.

By a vote of 218 to 210, the House approved adding the provision to the State Department bill. The policy was pushed by President Bush, who ordered US aid to family planning and abortion services groups cut three days into office.

The Senate will now consider the bill.
