MAY 30, 2000 The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has joined up with the Navajo Nation to offer state of the art medical treatment using the Internet. The Virtual Collaborative Clinic in Shiprock connects via satellite the Navajo hospital to Stanford University Medical Center, the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic, and NASA's Center for Bioinformatics. The project gives the ability for rural residents of the reservation to receive adequate health care. Get the Story:
