Voters of the Navajo Nation go to the polls tomorrow to decide if they want the tribe to take over health care from the Indian Health Service.

Some, however, are complaining about the confusing nature of the ballot language.

The IHS fiscal year 2002 budget request factors in the tribe taking over contracting. Six hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities with a current operating budget of $349 million would be transferred to the Navajo Nation beginning January 1, 2002.

Some $50 million has also been requested to help the tribe in the transfer.
