Vice President Dick Cheney is headed back to work today after having a pacemaker installed on Saturday to regulate his heartbeat.

Cheney has had four heart attacks since 1978 and had quadruple bypass surgery in 1988. Although some have questioned his health, his doctors said his condition has been stable for the past couple of decades and that the device was installed as a safety measure.
