JULY 6, 2000 The Circle of Wellness project has received a $100,000 donation from the George S and Dolores DorZ Eccles Foundation and $10,000 from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Foundation. The project's goal is to create education and health care programs in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Urban Indian Support Center, the Indian Health Care Clinic and its sister agency, the Indian Alcoholism Counseling and Recovery House Program all closed in 1996. The program hopes to restore some of the services that were being offered. The entire project is expected to cost $20 million. Utah has an Indian population of 32,000. Get the Story:
