FRIDAY, AUGUST 3, 2001 Teen births are down nationwide, according to a review of federal statistics being released today. The birth rate nationally among teenage girls ages 15 to 19 fell 22 percent over the past decade. The rates varied by state, but all experienced drops. The data does not break down statistics among American Indian and Alaska Native teenagers. Get the Study:
