Toledo leading in Peru poll

Alejandro Toledo is leading the list of candidates for President of Peru in a poll released on Wednesday.

Some 34 percent of poll respondents gave their support to Toledo. If elected, he would be the first Indian leader of the modern Peruvian state.

Elections are scheduled for April 8.
