The cousin of the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin activist who was killed in Colombia said those responsible for the death of Ingrid Washinawatok should be tried in the United States.

Steven Dodge said German Briceno and another member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) should be extradited for their crime. They were convicted in absentia for the murders of Washinawatok, Terence Freitas and Lehenae Gay.

The three went to Colombia to help the U'wa Nation fight oil development on traditional tribal land.
