Mexican tribe defends fishery

Faced with a dwindling fishery, the tiny Seri Tribe of Mexico has taken to the waters to defend its natural resources.

Authorized by the Mexican Navy, tribal fishermen guard the waters at gunpoint to prevent illegal and unregulated fishing. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, the tribe depends on dying species of fish to survive.
