Tribe police reach deal

The Leech Lake Band of Chippewa in Minnesota has reached an agreement with six local law enforcement agencies in which the various counties and the tribe will have concurrent jurisdiction and policing authority on the reservation.

Tribal officers will have to learn more about state laws and county ones will have to learna about tribal ones in order for both to enforce them cooperatively.
