NOVEMBER 10, 2000

Oliver Enjady, who was ousted as Vice President of the Mescalero Apache Tribal Council back in 1999, was re-elected by the New Mexico tribe on Tuesday.

Enjady was ousted by a council led by current President Sara Misquez. Misquez herself has been the target of recall efforts.

A recount of Tuesday's vote has been requested by a losing candidate.
